Ce manuel est destiné à soutenir la prestation d’un atelier d’une journée complète sur le thème du soutien à l’apprentissage holistique de qualité dans les contextes de crise grâce à la mise en œuvre d’outils et d’activités pédagogiques basés sur les atouts et au maintien d’espaces d’apprentissage sûrs et sécurisés. Les ateliers sont le résultat de contributions perspicaces d’une équipe engagée d’enseignants et d’éducateurs du Kenya, du Liban et du Niger.

Handbook for Holistic Learning

The Handbook for Holistic Learning supports teachers’ professional learning within communities of practice, such as peer-to-peer Teacher Learning Circles (TLCs), in Kenya. The handbook is an introduction to social-emotional learning (SEL) and supports the implementation of Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) as an integrated and complementary pedagogical set for holistic learning.

Introduction to SEL Workshop Packet: Facilitation Guide

This manual supports the delivery of four introductory workshops that focus on Quality Holistic Learning in crisis contexts through social and emotional learning. The training is organized in 4 interactive workshops:

1. Introduction
2. Psychosocial Support
3. Social and Emotional Learning Competencies
4. Creating a Learning Environment that Promotes Well-being

The workshops are the result of the insightful contributions of a committed team of teachers and educators from Niger.

The guide includes prompts to support exploration of the content and application to the local context, tips to support educators as they make space and time for professional learning, and advice regarding online, and other technological aspects, of the training.

  • Distinguish different psychosocial support needs
  • Classify needs and interventions according to the pyramid of PSS-SEL
    interventions
  • Propose appropriate and applicable PSS interventions in your own context.
