This World Refugee Day, we honor refugees around the world and extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone who supports refugee, migrant, displaced, on-the-move, transnational, and crisis-affected children, youth, families, and educators.

At Childhood Education International, we believe that access to quality education is critically important for all children, and we are committed to making a difference in the lives of refugees.

Educator Resources

To meet the needs of students and educators in emergency settings, we have created a series of resources for educators and continuing to develop more.

Through our Center for Professional Learning’s Refugee Educator Academy, CE International has developed communities of practice with Quality Holistic Learning Project Senior Fellows who are educators working in displacement settings.

Open Educational Resource Library

Our Open Educational Resource Library is a compilation of free professional development materials in English, Arabic, and French.

Refugee Educator Foundations of Practice Courses

Our Refugee Educator Foundations of Practice courses are online communities of practice and courses for U.S.-based educators.

Micro-credentials

We offer micro-credentials, which are competency-based assessments of an educator’s areas of expertise – specific to refugee educators.

Reflections from Educators

This World Refugee Day, some of the Quality Holistic Learning Project Senior Fellows share their experiences and discuss why supporting refugee students is so meaningful and important.
