يقدم هذا الدليل شرحًا لعمليات ونتائج مشروع التعلم المهني الشامل عالي الجودة في لبنان (QHPLL)، الذي شارك فيه أكثر من 1100 معلم من جميع أنحاء لبنان وأسفر عن إنشاء أكثر من 30 مجتمع ممارسة (CoPs) في المحافظات الثمانية. يتناول الدليل نجاح الجلسات التفاعلية المتعلقة بالموارد التعليمية المفتوحة (OERs) والبيداغوجيات الشاملة، بالإضافة إلى تطوير إطار عمل لقيادة المعلمين ومعيار للتقييم. كما يبرز العلاقات القوية التي تم بناؤها بين المعلمين داخل هذه المجتمعات، والتي وفرت لهم مساحات تعليمية تأملية لمشاركة الموارد والاستراتيجيات العملية، مما ساعد على تنمية هوياتهم التعليمية والقيادية طوال سيؤتهم المهنية. وعلى الرغم من التحديات الإقليمية، فإن المبادرات والتجارب والموارد والاستراتيجيات التي تم عرضها في هذا الدليل تضع أساسًا لإنشاء شبكات قيادة معلمين مرنة تتمتع بإمكانات كبيرة لتحقيق نمو مستدام وتأثير طويل الأمد على نظام التعليم في لبنان، بما في ذلك المدارس الخاصة وشبه الخاصة والمدارس التي تقودها المنظمات غير الحكومية والمدارس المجتمعية.
Ce document d’orientation détaille les processus et les objectifs du projet Quality Holistic Professional Learning in Lebanon (QHPLL). Le programme a impliqué plus de 1 100 enseignants et enseignantes à travers le Liban et a établi plus de 30 communautés de pratique (CoP) dans les huit gouvernorats du pays. Il met en évidence le succès des séances interactives sur les ressources éducatives libres (REL) et des pédagogies holistiques, ainsi que le développement d’une grille d’évaluation et d’un cadre de leadership pour les enseignants et les enseignantes. En outre, il souligne les relations solides qui se sont nouées au sein du corps enseignant dans les communautés de pratique. En effet, ces dernières offrent des espaces d’apprentissage réflexif où enseignants et enseignantes réfléchissent, partagent des ressources et des stratégies pratiques, et façonnent la culture de l’apprentissage continu et des identités de leadership. Malgré les défis régionaux, les initiatives, les expériences, les ressources et les stratégies décrites dans ce document esquissent des réseaux résilients dirigés par le corps enseignant. Ces réseaux renferment un fort potentiel de croissance soutenue et d’impact à long terme pour le système éducatif libanais, ainsi que pour les écoles privées, semi-privées, dirigées par des ONGI.
This guidance document details the processes and outcomes of the Quality Holistic Professional Learning in Lebanon (QHPLL) Project, which involved over 1,100 teachers across Lebanon and established more than 30 Communities of Practice (CoPs) in all eight of the country’s governorates. It underscores the success of interactive sessions on open educational resources (OERs) and holistic pedagogies, as well as the development of a teacher leadership framework and evaluation rubric. Additionally, it highlights the strong relationships formed among educators within communities of practice providing reflective learning spaces that allow teachers to reflect, share practical resources and strategies, and cultivate lifelong learning and leadership identities. Despite regional challenges, the initiatives, experiences, resources, and strategies outlined in the document establish a foundation for the creation of resilient teacher-led networks with significant potential for sustained growth and long-term impact on Lebanon’s education system, as well as on private, semi-private, INGO-led, and community-based schools.
This compendium of resources was created by team members participating in the Holistic Languages Pedagogies (HLP) Project at the Center for Professional Learning at Childhood Education International between July and October 2024. The project brought together English language educators from Ukraine and the United States to learn about and apply holistic language pedagogies together in a virtual community of practice (VCoP). Project participants were invited to make their contributions to the document and to comment and revise each others’ entries. The entries are organized by the respective holistic pedagogy (or other category) of best fit. The categories are: Social and Emotional Learning, Play-based Learning, Asset-based Pedagogies, Drama-based Pedagogies, and Ice Breakers & Other Activities.
To get the most out of this guide, it is recommended that the educator read the description of a resource thoroughly before using it in the classroom. These descriptions provide information on the resource, how it can be used, which age group/grade/English proficiency level is the most appropriate, as well as other relevant details. With a total of 58 entries, this compendium is sure to offer something for all teachers. We encourage experimenting with these activities and using them to enhance existing units, lessons and activities.
