Washington D.C. June 28, 2021 – Childhood Educational International has welcomed a newly-assembled board composed of nine professionals from the education, international development, organization management, government, and health sectors. Bede Ramcharan, Founder, President, and CEO of Indatatech, assumes the role of Board President of Childhood Education International (CE International) in a crucial time in the evolution of organization.

CE International, founded 1892, is in the final phase of a transition from an international association to an international development organization. The members of the board possess extensive experience in organizational management to help usher in a new era for CE International, highlighted by a reinvigorated strategy and renovated website that advocates for the education and health and well-being of pre-primary and primary aged children.

“We could not be more pleased to be working with such a skilled group of leaders,” said CE International CEO Diane Whitehead. “We look forward to directing our collective energy and efforts toward reinventing CE International to improve the lives of children worldwide.”

Before founding Indatatech, Ramcharan retired in 2000 as a Service-Disabled Veteran from the US Army.

“Our team has weathered many challenges throughout our respective careers,” said Ramcharan. “This prepares our team to come together and support CE International’s reinvention at a time when collective action for the sake of quality education opportunities is most needed.”

Ramcharan begins his tenure after spending one year as President Elect under previous President Rose Cardarelli, who served a vital role in the continued oversight of CE International’s pivot to the new organizational model.
