Yvette Sanchez Fuentes
Yvette Sanchez Fuentes, Associate Secretary, Early Childhood Support for the State of Delaware, is recognized as an expert and leader in early childhood research for driving effective policies and practices in early childhood development and family support. She is dedicated to understanding how policy, research, and program implementation impact lifelong outcomes for young children and families struggling with adversities, paying close attention to vulnerable populations such as migrant and seasonal farm workers, immigrant families, American Indian and Alaska Native communities, and dual language learners.
Yvette is also a former Obama Presidential Political Appointee who was selected to be the Director of the Office of Head Start, a role dedicated to enriching the quality of early childhood development for vulnerable children across the United States. Yvette now brings her passion for supporting the development of children and communities to Childhood Education International where she leverages her work to continue positively influencing millions of children, families, and early childhood professionals.
