ECDtf Listserv Guidelines

The Early Childhood Development Task Force (ECDtf) is an inclusive global network engaging in knowledge sharing and dialogue toward locally led solutions for a world in which young children with developmental delays and disabilities can thrive.

How to Participate in the ECDtf Listserv

About the ECDtf Listserv

The ECDtf listserv is a Google Group where members share information and can, if they wish, connect with each other. The listserv is an open forum, and everyone has an individual responsibility to vet information and resources shared through the network.

There are more than 1,200 members in the ECDtf. Your responses to a posting go to everyone who is subscribed to the listserv. Therefore, please make sure that you limit your responses to the entire listserv only when it is necessary and will be helpful to all in relation to the posting. If you wish to connect with another member of the ECDtf, you should email them directly.

Please refrain from criticizing others who are posting to the listserv. If you want to debate an issue with another listserv member, you must do so by emailing them directly. Do not email criticisms to the entire listserv.

If you have a concern or a request about the listserv and need to connect with a Childhood Education International staff member, please email Kacy at kkostiuk@ceinternational1892.org.

Please see the Listserv Guidance below to help you have an enjoyable experience as a member of the ECDtf. We appreciate your participation!

Listserv Guidance

  • Share relevant resources, including research articles and information that will benefit members and can also be included in the biweekly digest.
  • Include a signature tag on all messages. Include your name, affiliation, location, and email address. The email address is extremely important so that responses meant specifically for an individual do not need to be sent to the entire listserv.
  • State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.

Only send a message to the entire list when it contains information that benefits everyone. Send messages such as “thanks for the information” or “me, too” to individuals – not to the entire list. Do this by using your email application’s forwarding option and pasting in the email address of the individual to whom you want to respond.
