CE International Celebrates World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development
Today Childhood Education International celebrates World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, an annual observation day designated by UNESCO to highlight the richness of the world’s cultures and role of intercultural dialogue for achieving peace and sustainable development.
At CE International, we embrace cultural diversity and believe in the importance of fostering understanding, respect, and empathy among individuals and communities.
“The vibrant tapestry of traditions, beliefs, languages, and customs around the world enriches each of our individual and collective experiences and makes the world a better place,” said Diane Whitehead, President and CEO of CE International.
Education can and should play a transformative role in providing opportunities for children to develop an understanding of their own and other cultures, as well as the social-emotional skills that enable them to respect differences and engage in productive, collaborative intercultural dialogue that fosters peace and sustainable development.
By providing quality educational opportunities for all children and incorporating lessons that affirm each child’s culture, as well as respect for other cultures, we can cultivate global citizens who are equipped to navigate an interconnected and diverse world and build peaceful, sustainable futures.
On this World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, CE International reaffirms our commitment to promoting intercultural understanding and respect for all world cultures. Together, we can build inclusive and equitable societies where every child has access to quality education, where diversity is celebrated, and where dialogue serves as a powerful catalyst for positive change.
