Founded in 1892, today Childhood Education International (CE International) is a leading global consulting service specializing in the learning and development of young children — often known as early childhood development.
As our name suggests, we place children’s education at the center of everything we do. At the same time, we understand that in order for children to learn we must attend to their health and wellbeing as well. To ensure this we use a whole child model that embraces holistic supports that help children to thrive in their learning and their lives.
We Serve the Most Vulnerable and the Youngest

We are especially committed to reaching the most vulnerable — children living in dangerous and compromised situations such as conflict zones, places of extreme poverty, or those who have been forcibly displaced — ensuring that no child is denied the transformative power of education.
We know that young children are at significant risk of being vulnerable during crisis events. Our definition of young children and early childhood spans the ages of approximately prenatal and birth to ages 10 or 11 years. These age ranges are typically are aligned with infant care, pre-primary care, and primary school ages.

We work with governments, NGOs, school systems, education agencies, businesses, institutions, and other allies of children to guarantee quality assurance of early childhood care and education services, advance teacher professional learning, and build the capacity of educators and organizations in ways that reflect local realities and transform children’s lives for the better.
