Diane Whitehead to Discuss Collective Action at High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development Side Event

Diane Whitehead, Childhood Education International’s President and CEO, will speak on a panel at a side event associated with the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development next week.

Fundação Abrinq pelos Direitos da Criança (FADC) is convening a panel of specialists in education, eradication of poverty, zero hunger, climate change, and partnerships to discuss Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, 13, and 17. The gathering aims to highlight the importance of the 2030 Agenda and foster collaboration in achieving these goals.

At the virtual event, which will take place July 17, 2024, at 1:30pm EDT (14:30 Brasilia time), Fundação Abrinq will share data related to poverty and extreme poverty. The organization will also present the results of the research “Adolescence and the 2030 Agenda,” regarding the perception of adolescents aged 14 to 18 years about the SDGs.

Diane will speak on a panel alongside Karen Oliveira, Public Policy and Government Relations Director at The Nature Conservancy, and Victor Graça, Superintendent of Fundação Abrinq. She will discuss the importance of strengthening implementation strategies and revitalizing global partnerships for sustainable development to ensure long-term success and collective action.
